Mechanically and dimensionally they are siblings, so the honest answer is that the differences are mostly visual — and, in practice, about what is free on your dates.

Because Alphards outnumber Vellfires in Bali's chauffeur-driven fleets, request the Vellfire early — a week or more ahead in high season. If your dates are fixed and it is committed elsewhere, the Alphard delivers the same rear-cabin experience, and our desk will tell you plainly which van is actually available rather than promising one and sending the other.
